A Salute to Fashion

How to pull off a military chic look
Most women think of sexy dresses, high heels, and make up to draw a man’s attention. But we all know that there’s something about women who are a bit of tomboys to somehow be extra alluring to men. It could be because they have stronger personalities and they’re brave enough to face anything, and still retain that bit of sexiness in them. For a man it’s like having a passionate lover and the best boy bud at the same time. Think Michelle Rodriguez from Fast and the Furious, and the very hot Angelina Jolie who once had a lesbian relationship with a model. The same thing goes with fashion. Some clothes, no matter how gorgeous, can sometimes be too binding and over done. That’s why military trend is back. Sexy women prove that they can be stunning and comfortable at the same time. You too can pull off a military chic look. Here’s what you’ll need:
White tank top – Who doesn’t have a white tank top at home? It’s one of the staples in a woman’s closet next to a pair of flattering denim pants. But if you want a military look, a white racer back top is the best. It’s hot but it’s not too revealing. It goes with any of the military colors such as olive green and khaki.
Khaki drawstring pants – Draw string pants always give you that easy going look. To make it flattering pick the pair that hugs your hips and your bottom. Khaki pants are perfect for your white tank top.
Cargo pants – Skinny or not, cargo pants are the coolest. Some women even wear the pants with a super sexy top and slim, strappy sandals. Cargo pants are so versatile and can be very sexy if worn with the right pieces. A good pair would be in either olive green or light brown. Try wearing one with peep toe heels. You’ll absolutely rock!
Brown vest – Vests are totally in today. You say denim vests everywhere including colourful ones, black loose vests, and the like. Incidentally these too are often paired with a white tank top. But to pull of the military chic look, you’ll need a brown one that’s a bit thick and with either a zipper or it has to be a button down. Liken it to the ones that most archaeologists use. A vest is like the blazer or the bolero in military world. So you can do layering without changing the whole look.
Bronze or silver accessories – Long necklaces with pendants and wrap around bracelets are great to complement your whole military outfit. Leather bracelets may also do the trick too but make sure bronze and silver ones dominate so that you won’t mix your outfit with a punk rock effect.
Brown leather bags and skirts – A large earth tone leather bag is another way of saying I’m stylish yet I’m comfortable. It’s the only bag that’s perfect with the military–like ensemble. As for the skirts, a dark green or dark brown flowy skirt will do. It should be too short or else it would be too military looking at all. Pair the skirt with a tank top, strap on a feminine colored garrison belt and put on some gladiator sandals.
