We all know that everyday around the world fashion crimes are committed, otherwise enchantingly labelled as fashion faux pas. And because fashion crimes are easily detected and overly magnified by media and society, some people choose not to try new things and refuse to glamour themselves up as not to be made the root of uncanny entertainment. There are also those with one track minds to don't bother to change their wardrobes ever, even if it meant wearing hand me downs for life or 16 century tunics. This is collectively known as fashion fears, developed by insecurity, conflict, and competition. If you're guilty of such crime then here's how you arrest your phobias:

Despising heels - It's just sad to see a woman never wear heels in her lifetime. Many are afraid to fall or afraid of the fact that they might not be able to walk in them well. High heels add height and poise, and therefore exude power, gracefulness, and glamour. Therefore it's only right to have them on during celebratory moments and night caps. High heels should not intimidate you. They often times even make the outfit whole, even if what you're wearing are pretty simple. There's much guide to walking in heels such as walking one foot in front of the other and walking heel first before the toe. If you fear them so much then you can start with kitten heels. Do not miss out on pumps, wedge sandals, and stilettos. They are a woman's best friend other than diamonds.

Afraid to wear flats - Funny, if there are those who are afraid to fall there are also those who are afraid to bow down a bit. Short people or those with an average height are sometimes too insecure when not able to put on heels. It would be very detrimental for the feet and legs if heels were to be worn every single day. If you feels short without your heels on then add height by choosing the right clothes. Skinny jeans, mini skirts and short pants all add a bit of height. And don't wear flat shoes that make your short legs look shorter such as gladiator flats. Go for thong flats or really cute strappy sandals. For sure, the comfort will make you really happy and good at the same time.

Afraid to expose some body parts - Chubby women don't like to show their arms and legs. Some also don't like to show their feet. Honestly, wearing a sweater and sweat pants all the time will make you look even fuller than it hides your unwanted bulges. If you have problems such as dark underarms, then deal with it. Do a bit of exercise to tone your arm muscles. And choose the clothes that, although it would show your body parts, it would also flatter them and not worsen the scenario. There are cuts and styles for every size. The same issue goes with not showing your legs. Whether you like or not, keep in mind that being sexy does not mean being thin.

Afraid to go overboard or be underdressed - This is totally understandable and it happens to almost everyone. Being in a bar with all the gorgeous and classy women who are dressed to kill would be very unfair if you realize your wearing something too corporate or too simple; which is why it is best to always find out the nature and dress code for the occasion so as not to look stupid. It's also wise to bring extra clothes with you during emergencies. Remember dressing up in a trashy way does not mean you'll always stand out. And take note that being a bit overdressed is always better than being the least dressed at ANY event. Do not be afraid to experiment. Making an effort to look good all the time does not mean you're over dressed. As long as you don't insult anyone or jeopardize any occasion then that's fine.

Afraid to combine anything different - Are you always the match everything type? That is so wrong. Going monochromatic is just as bad as combining clothes with different prints and patterns. Blue shoes do not always have to go with a blue bag. One bold color from head to toe is even more blinding than avant-garde. So go ahead and don't be afraid to combine colors and styles. There's no generic for fashion, only trend setting.
