They say being overdressed is always better than not being dressed for the occasion at all. But no matter how stunning your outfit may be, you can’t avoid feeling unfit for certain events. And we know there’s nothing worse than having all eyes on you not because of admiration but out of pity and disgust. Good thing there’s a really wide variety of clothes to choose from these days. With all the designers and stores proliferating worldwide, there’s no reason why you won’t be able to look good and neither will you become a misfit during those special junctures. Smart shoppers, when it comes to clothing classification, pay attention to three main fashion genres: classic, trendy, and modern. These types will never get you wrong as long as you know when and where to wear the clothing pieces. But how do you know which is for what?
Let’s start with the classics. There’s nothing safer and fresher than your basic cuts and colors. Your perfect little black cocktail dress that’s always ready in the closet for those emergency dress-ups belongs to the classic sort. Classic clothing pieces are known to be the simplest yet most elegant amongst all. They are perfect for those formal and very composed occasions where you have to look extra feminine and reserved. This includes long plain dresses that are pleated, spaghetti strapped garbs with flowing skirt bottoms, and one sided dresses with a-line cuts. And when it comes to shoes, simple pumps and strappy stilettos always do the trick. You will never go wrong with classic garments. Gray, black, white, beige, pastels, and all other basic and fresh colors, when used appropriately, will have you looking your best. Whether you’re at a garden party, having dinner with the boss, a baptism, a first date, meeting you’re fiancé’s parents, attending a wedding, or even at work, the classic clothes will make you look chic and stunning without trying so hard.
Now when it comes to trendy clothing we’re talking about looking extra sexy. Short draped dresses, leather mini skirts, sequin-sprayed mini dresses, and high gladiator heels are what we have on the list. The goal is to take your outfit to another level, whether you’re shopping at a grand mall, partying at a club, or attending a nightly event with your friends. Trendy clothes represent the modern day woman: independent, career-oriented, full with allure, and downright sexy. So get those skimpy one-sided garbs and two-tone mirror pumps ready for a night out. If you want to look strong and a bit more seductive than you already are, trendy clothes are the way to go.
And if you want to become more than the usual you, there’s nothing more creative than putting on some modern clothes. Exactly what do we mean by modern? Avant-garde and Lady Gaga represent modern. These clothing types do not show your everyday hues, styles, cuts, etc. If you want to look different, then you’d go for: ankle booties, silver peep-toe and multi-colored pumps, bright shift dresses, skimpy silver panel dresses, and all sexy garments with ostrich feathers. Why go that extreme? Because you want to bring out the celebrity in you, as no one would want to be forgotten during those A-list events such as bachelorette parties and the fashion week. With modern clothing, you can look futuristic, and still in style.
All it really takes is asking yourself how you want to look and how you should look at every juncture. Whether, classic, trendy, or modern, you know you’ve got the perfect clothes for the perfect time and place.
