Make Up Essentials

My shoulders hurt. I curse the day when giant tote bags saw the light of day. They look so good though and come in so many nice colors and textures, not to mention brands. When I got to the office I dumped all of the contents in my bag onto my table. I was determined to throw away anything that I didn’t need. I know that my shoulders will thank me.
Hmm, I haven’t seen this light sweater in a while. I didn’t know that I left it in there. I do so love my books but well, I have to take them out if I don’t want to end up with a bent back. Okay, just one hard bound and one pocketbook. I think I have the culprit now. I may just have the biggest make up bag in the world. I really have to figure out which make up pieces are the only ones I need. I’m pretty sure a lot of this stuff is expired too. I definitely need to throw out this lipstick. It smells kind of funky. This compact powder is cracked too. It has to go.
Ah, this foundation definitely has to stay. It does really well in smoothing out my complexion and giving me coverage without clogging my pores. I really like it because it’s water-based which means it’s not that hard to take off and it goes on smooth. It also stays on long.
I also have to have a concealer. I am not perfect although I’d like to think that I am. I have blemishes and discoloration to cover. I love this liquid concealer of mine. It’s so easy to blend it in and I don’t have light colored skin patches when I use it.
I remember when I fell in love with this eye shadow. It all started when I discovered that pink and peach tones go with any skin color. And it just seemed to go well with everything that I wore and with all the occasions I had to go to.
Blush! I need blush! It makes me look all flushed and cute. I really like this natural looking one. Don’t you just hate it when a woman looks like she has a red line on her cheeks? It has to be subtle. That’s my rule. Mascara too is so important to emphasize my pretty eyes. Gloss and lipstick ought to round it out.
Now, my bag is so much easier to lift. Not a hefty one anymore.
