Spring Break Basics for Men

There’s nothing sexier than summer except for spring break. It gives everyone a reason to stow away from the real word and have as much fun as possible. For men, spring break is the perfect time to travel, take hot vacations and meet hot women, take on extreme water sports, and relax and allow the mind and body to recuperate. Wherever you’re spring break destination may be, you need to be prepared. Your spring break shopping spree list may include just board shorts dry clothes but you should consider these spring break basics to make your season opener the bomb:
Hat – We know there’s nothing sexier than wet hair especially right out the water. But for those afternoons on the beach where you wish to be dressed to kill, put on a straw hat or a fedora hat to match that translucent button-down shirt. Hats are also a good way to disguise dry hair. You can also wear one while walking under the sun to give yourself a real spring break look.

Sun Protection Factor (SPF Lotion) – You wouldn’t want your perfectly tanned skin to start cracking in the middle of your vacation, so make sure you use the right protection. Since men spend more time on the water, especially when surfing or doing other sports, it is wise to use waterproof sunscreen with maximum SPF level (70-75). Enjoy your new skin color without the burns.
Walk shorts – Wearing your board shorts in and out of the water makes you look too much like a native beach boy. Walk shorts are much more decent so you should have a pair or two with you. If you don’t want to wear them in between swims then pull them out for nightlife.

Flip-flops – If you don’t bring a pair then you must be crazy. Flip flops are your tool for walking both on wet or dry surfaces. They’re your guide to ultimate comfort. But make sure you bring the ones that are in style. You don’t want to look like you’re at home while partying by the pool.
New-wave boat shoes – Topsiders and the like, it’s always good to have something to replace your sandals every now and then. Spring break dates don’t always require you to show off your abs, so dress decently once in a while and wear this spring’s hottest shoes. Bright colors are totally in so pick one in red, cobalt blue, orange, or yellow.

Shades – Frame yourself from the sun and from those unwanted gazes. Sunglasses are never out of style. Pick the really sturdy ones that can handle the water and those that can cut the sun’s glare. Big lenses are in. If you go bright on those boat shoes, have matching sun glasses then.
Spring break tops – If you decide to cover up once in a while be sure you cover up in style. Mixed prints and patterns as well as bold colors are in this season. Pick hues that wildly complement your walk shorts and give you a fresh spring look. For a funkier appearance graphic tees are still in. Just make sure you experiment on what’s loud and bold.
