Those Perfect Jeans
Every man, woman, and child has them in their closets, the ubiquitous jeans. There are people who live in them and really prefer to wear nothing else and groan out loud whenever they have to be in business attire. Since this garment is so in demand, you would think that people would actually know how to choose those that look good in them. Well, sorry to say, but you’re dead wrong. There are times when I can’t help but wince when I see people walking around not realizing that their jeans are flaunting all the wrong things on their body. It does not mean that just because something is trendy it will look good on you. That said, let me help you choose those perfect jeans.
Look at yourself in the mirror. Now, you have to be honest and not just take a quick peek. Look at your figure and see what shape you have. Are you pear shaped? Do you have a boyish figure perhaps? Or maybe you have a big belly? Don’t worry. No matter what your shape is, there’s something out there for you.
Alright, if you are of the pear-shaped variety, then this means that you have wide hips. Wipe that look of horror off your face. I actually envy your curves. Anyway, the classic boot-cut jeans are the ones for you. This is because the wide pant leg at the bottom takes away from your hips. Please remember to stay away from those jeans with the relaxed fit.
If you have a big bottom (think J-Lo), you have to be real picky with the pockets on your jeans. Pockets, you ask? Yes, pockets. They are the make and break of the J-Lo’s out there. Steer clear of pockets that are too high or decorated. I know those are trendy right now but do restrain yourself from the glitter of bedazzled jeans. Your friends are the long pockets that are wide and have a low location. Also, they should be low rise and a bit of flare at the ankles.
For the opposite of the above, the boyish figure, the best jeans for your slender body would be cigarette pants. Think tapered to make your hips look wide and add some shape to your booty.
Remember, be honest about your assets and your flaws and you can easily choose the pair that will flatter your assets and even hide your flaws. Good luck!
